Using This Preset Well

This wheel picks which topic the next review question comes from. The default six are broad school subjects: Math, Science, History, English, Geography, and Art. It suits a mixed review session where the teacher has a stack of questions per subject and wants the order to be unpredictable. Spin, read a question from the selected pile, and move on. For a single-subject class the list works better when you replace the subjects with the units you are revising. A science teacher preparing a class for an end-of-term test might load Cells, Forces, Circuits, Acids and Bases, and Ecosystems, then spin between questions so nobody can zone out during the unit they think they already know. It also runs a decent quiz-show format. Split the class into teams, spin for the category, and award points per correct answer. If Geography comes up and the question pile is thin, a guess-the-population game is a five-minute class activity that needs no question cards.

Setup checklist

  • Replace the subjects with the actual chapters or units your test covers.
  • Keep a set of questions ready for every entry on the wheel, since the wheel only picks the topic.
  • Use weights to make a weak topic come up more often. A topic at weight 2 appears about twice as often as one at weight 1.

How to read the result

Six topics at equal weight means each has a 1 in 6 chance per spin, and the same topic can come up several times in a row. That is expected. If you want every topic covered once before any repeat, turn on Remove winner and reset the wheel after the sixth spin. The result is a category only; the wheel does not hold or ask questions.

Limits

The preset contains no quiz questions and cannot judge answers or keep score. It also cannot tell which topics the class most needs, so decide the weights yourself based on recent marks rather than trusting an even spread.
