This wheel picks which game you play tonight. The default list has ten big titles: Minecraft, Fortnite, Call of Duty, Valorant, Apex Legends, League of Legends, GTA V, Rocket League, FIFA, and NBA 2K. They are placeholders for the games you actually own, so the first job is to replace them with your own library, or at least the part of it you are willing to start today. The wheel earns its keep in two situations. The first is the solo player with a backlog of 40 games who spends 20 minutes scrolling a launcher and then plays the same one as always. Load the backlog, spin, and play whatever comes up for at least an hour. The second is a group call where four friends each want a different game. Put the four suggestions on the wheel, spin once on a shared screen, and the result is harder to argue with than any one person's vote. Streamers use it the same way to let chat see the game being chosen live.
Setup checklist
- Replace the defaults with games everyone in the session actually has installed. A spin that lands on a game one person does not own just restarts the argument.
- For a backlog wheel, keep it to games you can start in the next ten minutes. A 60 GB download is not a spin result, it is a plan for tomorrow.
- Turn on Remove winner if you run the wheel every night and want to work through the list before anything repeats.
How to read the result
Every game on the list has the same chance unless you change the weights. If two friends want Rocket League and one wants Valorant, giving Rocket League weight 2 and Valorant weight 1 reflects that without letting the majority simply win. The result is a suggestion for this session only. Nothing stops you from spinning again, but a wheel that gets re-spun until it says the game you wanted is just a slow way of choosing that game.
Limits
The wheel does not know your library, your install list, or which friends are online, and it cannot check whether a game's servers are up. It also cannot balance a session across players who own different platforms. Make the list yourself with those things in mind, and treat the spin as the tie breaker at the end of that process rather than the whole decision.
